The Late Triassic/Early Jurassic heterodontosaurid Abrictosaurus has also been suggested as a female form of Heterodontosaurus itself, but this is not based on positive evidence outside of absence of tusks as in living pigs and other tusked mammals (e.g., musk deer, etc.).
