NOTES: |
Found in New Mexico, Texas and Utah, Alamosaurus is North America's only titanosaurid and one of the last sauropods living at the end of the Age of Dinosaurs. It may have come to North America from South America where sauropods, titanosaurs in particular, remained abundant throughout the Cretaceous Period. Although its name suggests an event in Texas history, Alamosaurus was named for the Ojo Alamo trading post in New Mexico. |
