Albertosaurus Pack
Hunting |
Ongoing research in dinosaur-bearing strata north of
the Royal Tyrrell Museum in Alberta, Canada, is revealing to Dr. Phil Currie and his team, a death assemblage comprised of more than a dozen Albertosaurs of various ages and sizes. Along with these remains are a few elements identified as coming from the crested lambeosaurine, Hypacrosaurus altispinus. Comparing the data from this locality with theropod mass mortality sites elsewhere in the world, a suggestion of pack hunting behavior is strongly indicated. |
