Alxsasaurus, which means "Alxa Lizard" was named by the palaeontologists Dale Russell and Zhiming Dong in 1994. Alxsasaurus was an herbivorous dinosaur living in Mongolia during the Cretaceous period. It had a long neck, short legs and tail, and big claws on its hands.
