Constructed between January and June, 2003, with
epoxy resin and polyurethane, the model has a total length of 130 cm
(scale 1:5). The head was constructed based on photos of the fossil of A. limai and Irritator challengeri, obtained from the original papers
describing these species. The body was based on the close relationship
with Spinosaurus aegyptiacus. The animal was made with a dorsal
"sail" based on some fossils of vertebrae, still being described in the
Museu Nacional, which present tall neural spines.
Editor's note: although postcranial material is a yet
undescribed for this species, the hands would likely have been positioned
with the palms facing inward. Author's note: the shape and position
of the crest is propably incorrect.Image Copyright © 2005 Orlando Grillo. All Rights
