 Bagaceratops("small horned face")
photo by J. Wingerath This is a cast of one of the original specimens of Bagaceratops, a ceratopsian (horned dinosaur) from the Late Cretaceous Period in Mongolia. This skull is less than 3 inches long and represents a hatchling. The large hole in the center is for the eye socket. The small hole at the tip of the snout is the nasal opening. Behind this skull you can see Psittacosaurus, another horned dinosaur from Mongolia.
