Bagaceratops -described by Maryanska and Osmolska, 1975 (Dodson, 1996). Bagaceratops rozhdestvenski (baga - meaning small in Mongolian) is named in honour of A.K. Rozhdestvensky, a prominent Soviet dinosaur palaeontologist (Dodson, 1996). The largest skull found is about 17cm long, and the smallest about 47mm (Dodson, 1996). It has a short, narrow frill, a modest, low, blunt "horn" on the nasal, and there are no teeth in the premaxilla. Bagaceratops has other unique characters, one example is an extra opening in the skull just behind the nostril. The specimens collected of Bagaceratops show it to be a slender protoceratopsid.
