A purely bizarre rictus is formed from the relatively
short extension of lips over teeth, a reptilian scalation (because it's a
reptile); result is a curious face. The nostrils are positioned in the
front of the external naris, but not in front of them as suggested by
Witmer's work, and instead the external naris here houses a large,
