Campylodoniscus
(Kuhn, 1961)
> C.ameghinoi (Huene,1929) =
Campylodon
ameghinoi (Huene,1929)
(pre-occupied)
(Misspelled as Camplodoniscus)
Maxilla with teeth. This form is based on an incomplete maxilla from
the Late Cretaceous of Argentina (Huene,1929).
It contained teeth with spatulate crowns broader than those of the
diplodocids
but not as broad as those of the camarasaurids
and quite different from the tiny slender teeth of Antarctosaurus
and also those assigned to Alamosaurus
(Kues et al. 1980)
In a second maxilla (Huene and Matley,1933) from the Late
Cretaceous of India, the teeth are missing, however the element is
high and robust, as in camarasaurids.
Because of the incompleteness of the two maxillae, they cannot be
compared critically and may be in no way related.
