INFO Szechuanosaurus (Young,1942) > S.campi (Young,1942)>> S. yandonensis (Dong,Chang,Li & Zhou, 1978) Szechuanosaurus > S. zigongensis (Gao,1993) and partim (Chienkosaurus ceratosauroides Young,1942 )

Holotype- (IVPP V237) premaxillary tooth (37 mm) included with Szechuanosaurus campi. The remaining 3 teeth (C. ceratosauroides (1)) are probably crocodylian.

Some researchers do not think its possible to refer the theropod tooth included in the Chienkosaurus holotype to Szechuanosaurus. The Chienkosaurus tooth is never compared of Szechuanosaurus, Yangchuanosaurus shangyouensis or Sinraptor hepingensis the teeth associated with Dong's 1983 skeleton are possible shed from scavengers. The species are roughly similar in morphology (recurved, flattened, both edges serrated), both Y. shangyouensis and S. hepingensis have 24 denticles per cm, while S. campi has 29 per cm. These are very similar, especially considering interdental variation, and further study must be done before they refer isolated teeth to either species.
