Chirostenotes pergracilis, based on a composite
The cranial bones are restored after several
specimens, including CMN 8776 (lower jaw, holotype of Caenagnathus collinsi), ROM 42350 (vertebrae and upper jaw
bones, and partial pelvis with sacrum), CMN 2367 (manus), CMN 8538 (nearly
complete pes, holotype of Macrophalangia canadensis), and RTMP 79.20.1 (partial arms, legs,
and pelvis with sacrum). The scale bar is after ROM 42350, the largest
known specimen referred, but likely applies to a younger, more robust
species, rather than to C. pergracilis. Image Copyright © 2005 Jaime Headden. All Rights
