INFO The type material consitsts of a small, imperfectly preserved ilium. In addition Cope (1887) referred to this taxon several dorsal vertebrae and miscellaneous bone fragments. Cope (1889) synomyzed this species with Coelophysis willistoni. In all probability this specimen is a juvenile of C.bauri, as has been proposed by Colbert (1964), but this cannot be proven.
